it was 1996, and I like so many of my friends were unbashedly obsessed with Leo. and we all wanted to wear claire dane's miu miu dress with angel wings for halloween! i love this film now mainly for the cinematography. baz gives each frame a rich and visually stunning aesthetic that you can't take your eyes of the screen (or at least i cant hehe...)

who could forget the bathroom scene with our two star-crossed lovers meeting for the first time, thanks to the little cold-blooded friends swimming in the tank (and deseree singing Kissing You in the background). i'm getting wispy-eyed just writing about it!!!!
