Maloles (Malo-les) is a Spanish brand established in 2004 by Maloles Miracosta-Antignac. Maloles had been working as a stylist for Spanish Vogue when she was inspired to design her own footwear collection. Growing up in Alicante, Spain her inspirations come from raiding her grandmother's massive shoe collection as a child and flea markets looking for shoes from the 1920s.
Maloles is now based out of Paris and she attended the prestigious Institut Français de la Mode.
The shoe below is the Patent Zoe Tie Ballet Flat available from shopbop.com and comes in a few other colors. While it's not cheap at $325, its delicious to look at no? Reminds me of a mint ice cream cone.
Maloles is going to be added to my growing list of shoe designers to save up for. Her pieces are fun, feminine, and never boring!
