Appliqué Flower Ballet Flats

It's been awhile folks, sorry about that. Bad blogger!

This shoe caught my eyes recently and if you don't live in an area that rains all the time, this would be a great pair to own. Available from the Gap for $49.50, it's made from genuine leather (or so the site says) and has a rubber sole.

DC saw it's coldest weekend of the season yet and I went ice skating on Saturday night. Needless to say I really need a really really warm coat. I'm obsessed with the North Face Arctic Parka but it costs $299. Ugh so expensive. Other brands like Moncler and Canada Goose are even more pricey. BAH!! I'm trying to convince myself that spending that much money on a coat will be worth it if I'll use it for the next 10 years, but it's hard to get myself to spend that much on anything. Gah.

Repetto Patent Leather Ballet Flats

I find myself totally attracted to the patent lime green. I'm not sure why...

This of course is total wishful thinking. The $245 price tag doesn't bode well with my pocket.

Ideeli had a Repetto sale last week and many pairs came down under $200 but I still just couldn't fork over the money for it. Alas, I'll just have to be content to looking for now.

Bloch London Women's Savoy Bow Ballet Flat

Most of the reviews for Bloch flats have been incredibly favorable and the only complaint has been that some of rolled up flats are smaller sized than expected (its been recommended to get 2 sizes up from your normal shoe size).

This particularly pair really captured my attention on a Monday (i've got  a case on the munday blues) because of its simplicity. There is a mix of both patent and matte leather and the bow is a nice detail on a very clean looking shoe.

Lanvin: Embroidered Ballerina

Because we could all use something pretty to look at in the morning. My eye caught this and ooooh'd and aahhh'd. I love this vibrant shade of green!

Bandit White Leather Flat

This Penny Loves Kenny white leather flat is on sale at http://www.kitson.com for only $14.50 and normally $48! The straps are a great detail to this shoe. Hurry though because the only sizes available are 6, 7.5 and 10!

Mai Tai Flats

This Jeffrey Campbell flat is beautiful!

According to the one review on the website this shoe fits true to size and hasn't caused blisters either (a very important point!).

The shoe is also available in a black/tan combo and looks equally as yummy. These shoes remind of cupcakes that I want to devour!!! Or maybe I'm just hungry right now...

In any case this is definitely a great shoe to have for the upcoming summer months to add a punch to an outfit. My favorite flats are those that have that extra something that catches the eye and these definitely fit into that category. Gives my feet wearable art almost!

soir de lune flats

I am going gaga over soire de lune flats. Yoox.com has a fantastic collection of them available now. I love the feminine touches of bows and straps (whether thick or thin) really adds something to the shoe without going overboard.

The prices are between $100-180 which isn't cheap, but not ridiculously expensive either. If your looking for simple but definitely chic ballet flats, you can't go wrong here!

the question is whether they are comfortable or not. I'm still looking for reviews on these babies.

L and I are going to be in new york this coming weekend. While I'll be busy with "work" during the day I'm already planning out my shopping stops. I would just kick myself if I didn't go.

I was watching The Rachel Zoe project on bravo yesterday (there was a marathon and i swear there was nothing else to watch lol) and she got some beautiful vintage pieces while she was at fashion week. I wish I could remember the name of that store...

While I don't think I can afford the stuff she wears, I'm definitely going to have to make a stop at Top Shop. I met one of the hiring managers for the store quite randomly many months ago while she was in DC for the weekend and I'm so happy its finally opened!

My other must must go to: Uniqlo because i need cheap cashmere cardigans.

Mmmm does anyone have any other suggestions to where I must definitely definitely stop by?
