is it a jacket? or a sweater?

im always on the lookout for cropped jackets that I can wear all year round that can be both dressed up and dressed down. last week i found one at H&M that is awesome and has wonderful detailing for a great price ($34).

Here is another beautiful example from JCrew:

The Jacinda Jacket on sale for $99.99!

It is available in black and honey glaze (pictured above and below).

Product description:

A ladylike design with the softness of a sweater and the refined tailoring of a jacket. Merino wool in a 12-gauge double knit. Fitted. Three-quarter sleeves. Hits at hip. Import. Dry clean.

This is a great piece to have in your closet because it can be worn at work as a great substitute for a blazer. Because it's supposed to be a sweater as well it is incredibly comfortable and snuggly. The sweater/jacket really blends the best of both worlds together.
My favorite perk is that I can wear it under a heavy wool coat and not feel like a stuffed sausage (the way I normally do when I'm wearing a heavier sweater, like THIS ONE).
